Start with Interior Remodel
Interior Remodel is the fastest way to explore new design directions from an existing room photo. Open it from the Features menu in the top navigation, or click the button below.
- Click Features in the header, navigate to Interior Design, and select Interior Remodel.
- Use specialized tools (like Kitchen Design or AI Wall Design) when you need focused cabinet or wall changes.
- If an interactive workspace tour appears, you can follow along or dismiss it anytime.
You can upload a photo and adjust settings as a guest. Clicking Generate will prompt you to sign in if needed.

The empty canvas displays Start from an image. Click the upload zone to choose a room photo, or click one of the sample rooms below to test the workflow first.
- Upload clear PNG, JPG, or JPEG images up to 10MB.
- Ensure walls, floor, windows, and existing furniture are clearly visible in even lighting.
- A wide, straight-on room shot produces more coherent results than tight close-ups or panoramic collages.
Generated outputs are visual design concepts based on your photo—not CAD files, BIM models, or architectural construction blueprints.

Select your room type and design style
In the right panel, configure Select room type and Select style. Match the room type to your photo, and pick the design aesthetic you want to see.
- Select room type must match the uploaded space (e.g., Living Room, Bedroom, or Kitchen).
- Select style defines the overall aesthetic, such as Modern, Japandi, Warm Minimalist, or Industrial.
- Select elements and Select palette are optional advanced settings for fine-tuning materials and colors.
If the Generate button remains disabled, check that a photo is uploaded and both Room Type and Style are selected.

Select your room type and target style from the right settings panel.
Write a keep-and-change prompt, then click Generate
In the Looking for any specific? text box, describe what to keep from the photo and what to modify. Then click Generate.
- A high-performing starter prompt: 'Keep the windows, doors, and flooring. Add modern oak cabinetry, a neutral boucle sofa, and warm ambient lighting.'
- Standard image generation costs 1 credit on Basic and Pro plans. The credit cost is clearly shown on the button.
- If prompted to sign in, complete login to use your account credits. New accounts receive complimentary credits.
Use the first generation as an exploratory design direction. You can refine and iterate on subsequent runs.

Compare results with the original photo and iterate
Your generated concept appears in the Design preview tab. Verify that your requested changes were applied and that preserved elements remain intact.
- The Design tab shows the latest concept, while History lets you review all previous iterations from your session.
- Download high-resolution results or save favorite directions directly to your account.
- To iterate, adjust one specific detail in the prompt or change the style, then generate again.
Before purchasing furniture or beginning physical renovations, verify real-world measurements, material samples, and feasibility with qualified professionals.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about getting started
Do I need interior design or 3D software experience?
No design or CAD experience is needed. Simply upload a room photo, pick a style and room type, add a short prompt, and click Generate. AIDesignHouse transforms your inputs into photorealistic design concepts in seconds.
What if I do not have a photo of my room yet?
You can click any of the built-in example rooms under the upload area to test the tools immediately. When you are ready, upload your own space photo to generate personalized ideas.
Why is the Generate button disabled or unavailable?
Generate requires three items: an uploaded photo, an active room type selection, and a chosen design style. Once all three are set, the Generate button becomes active.
Where can I find and download my generated designs later?
During your active session, switch to the History tab in the preview panel. To view, organize, and download all past generations anytime, click My Creations in the top navigation bar.
