Introduction
At AIDesignHouse, we want paid users to feel confident trying our AI home design tools. This Refund Policy explains when purchases may be refunded, how subscription cancellation works, and how to contact us for billing help.
By purchasing a subscription or credits, you agree to this policy, our Terms of Service, any refund terms shown at checkout, and any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your jurisdiction.
Refund Eligibility
1. Seven-day refund window
First-time subscription purchases may be eligible for a refund if you contact us within 7 days of the initial purchase date.
2. No paid credit use (Try before you buy)
We provide free trial credits for new users, so please fully test the core features before purchasing. To qualify for a standard first-time refund, you must request the refund within 7 days and no credits from the purchased plan may have been used. The system prioritizes consuming free credits; as long as your paid credits remain untouched, you are still eligible within 7 days. If any purchased plan credits have been used, we consider the service delivered and the purchase is not eligible for a refund.
3. First purchase and first refund only
The standard refund window applies only to your first paid subscription purchase and your first refund request. This helps us protect new users while preventing repeated refund abuse.
4. Summary of standard eligibility
You are generally eligible for a standard refund when all of the following are true:
- You request the refund within 7 days of purchase.
- No credits from the purchased plan have been used.
- This is your first refund request.
- The purchase is not a one-time credit pack or other final-sale item.
- Your account has not violated our Terms of Service or content policy.
Non-Refundable Items
The following purchases and situations are generally not eligible for refunds unless required by law:
- Requests after 7 days: Refund requests submitted more than 7 days after purchase are generally not eligible.
- High usage: Purchases where any purchased plan credits have been used are generally not refundable.
- Repeated refunds: Each customer is eligible for at most one standard first-time refund.
- One-time credit packs: One-time credit package purchases are final sale once delivered, except for confirmed billing errors or legal requirements.
- Partial subscription periods: Canceling a subscription stops future renewals but does not create a refund for unused days in the current billing period.
- Policy violations: Accounts suspended for abuse, fraud, chargeback misuse, safety bypass attempts, or Terms of Service violations are not eligible for discretionary refunds.
- User error: Issues caused by incorrect prompts, unsuitable uploaded images, misunderstanding tool behavior, or failure to follow usage instructions are generally not refundable after credits are consumed.
- Payment processing fees: Original transaction fees charged by payment processors are non-refundable and will be deducted from any approved refund amount (i.e., refunds are not full refunds).
Refund Process
1. Send a refund request
Email support@aidesignhouse.io with the subject line "Refund Request" and include:
- Your account email address.
- Transaction ID, order ID, or payment reference if available.
- Purchase date.
- Reason for the refund request.
- Screenshots, error messages, or other supporting details if relevant.
2. Review timeline
- Acknowledgement: We aim to acknowledge refund and billing requests within 2 business days.
- Manual review: Most requests are reviewed within 3 business days. Complex billing, fraud, or technical cases may take longer.
- Decision: We will email you the decision and any next steps after review.
3. If approved
- Refund amount: Please note that refunds are typically not full refunds. Original transaction fees charged by payment processors are non-refundable and will be deducted from your total refund amount.
- Refund method: Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method where supported by the payment processor.
- Processing time: Once issued, the refund may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your bank or payment provider.
- Account changes: The refunded subscription, paid access, and related purchased credits may be canceled, revoked, or adjusted after the refund is approved.
4. If denied
Common reasons for denial include:
- The request was made after the 7-day refund window.
- Credits from the purchased plan were used.
- The customer already received a prior refund.
- The purchase was a final-sale credit pack.
- The account violated our Terms of Service or content policy.
Special Circumstances
1. Technical failures
If credits are consumed because of a confirmed technical failure on our platform, we may restore credits, issue account credit, or provide another remedy. Serious outages that prevent paid users from accessing the service may be reviewed case by case even outside the standard refund window.
2. Billing errors
Duplicate charges, incorrect amounts, or other confirmed payment-processing errors may be refunded or corrected after verification.
3. Service changes
If we make a material service change that significantly affects an active paid purchase, we may offer a pro-rated refund, account credit, or other remedy at our discretion.
4. Legal requirements
Where local law provides non-waivable consumer refund rights, those rights apply regardless of the discretionary limits in this policy.
5. Subscription cancellations and renewals
You may cancel a subscription at any time. To cancel, sign in to your AIDesignHouse account, open Account Settings, then go to Subscription at /dashboard/subscription and use the available billing portal to manage or cancel your plan. Cancellation stops future renewals and normally leaves access active until the end of the paid billing period. Unused days in the current billing period are not refunded unless you qualify under this policy or applicable law. However, if you forget to cancel before an automatic renewal and contact us within 48 hours of the renewal charge, provided you have not used any credits in the new billing cycle, we may issue a refund for that renewal charge as a courtesy.
6. Annual plans
Annual subscriptions follow the same standard refund rules: request within 7 days, no credits from the purchased plan have been used, and no prior refund request. Annual plan credits may be released monthly rather than all at once, as described at checkout or in the Terms of Service.
Dispute Resolution
1. Internal review
If you disagree with our refund decision, you may reply with additional information and request a second review. A team member will reassess the case based on the details available.
2. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Unresolved chargebacks or abusive dispute patterns may lead to account suspension, credit revocation, or additional verification requirements.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, payment providers, legal requirements, or business practices. The updated policy is effective when posted unless a later effective date is stated.
For material changes, we may notify users by email, in-product notice, or another reasonable method where appropriate.
